The Metal Transfer Technician will deliver metal to specifications safely, accurately and on time. Keep furnaces full, and safely and thoroughly clean the furnaces and ladles.
What You'll Do:
Deliver metal to specifications.
Deliver metal safely, accurately and on time.
Operate hoist cranes to transfer molten iron from furnaces to casting molds or holding vessels.
Ensure the proper alignment of ladles and containers during metal transfer to prevent spills or accidents.
Monitor furnace operations to ensure the timely and accurate transfer of molten iron.
Conduct regular inspections of the hoist crane and lifting equipment, ensuring all machinery is functioning correctly and safely.
Communicate with furnace operators, casters, and other team members to coordinate smooth and safe transfers.
Strictly adhering to all safety guidelines, always wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain accurate records of metal transfers, including weight, timing, and destination of each load.
Troubleshoot and report any mechanical or operational issues with the hoist crane or furnace.
Participate in safety training and emergency drills as required.
What We Need From You:
Foundry Experience Preferred.
Must have Manufacturing and Machinery Experience.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions with accuracy.
