The nodularity checker will complete day-to-day tasks to ensure that the iron is at the standards of process sheets.
Hourly pay starts at $17.00What You'll Do:
Obtain a sample for each molding line.
Grind and polish each sample.
If the sample is within customer specifications, record the result.
If the sample is out of customer specifications, alert the Metallurgist.
Read process sheet and determine metal code for each line.
Determine if alloy is to be added to the job.
Ensure an appropriate amount of alloy is added to each ladle.
Working hours will be scheduled by Metallurgist.
The nodularity checker shall have the authority to stop the process(es) under their control and shall promptly inform the applicable manager/supervision of the need for corrective action.
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
Perform all duties requested by the Metallurgist.
Obtain chemistry samples as needed

What We Need from You:
Minimum of high school education.
One year of manufacturing experience.
Must be able to stand, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to pass pre-employment, physical, drug screen, and background check.
Must be able to pass medical clearance: asthma, COPD, breathing conditions, respiratory conditions, high blood pressure are potential causes of failing a medical clearance.
Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and following cards.
Must understand numbering.
Training Skills:
Associate will take place in training program for specific position.
Associate will be trained of iron pouring procedure and ladle pushing procedure.
Associate will be trained in usage of grinding and polishing equipment, usage of alloy scale, and reading process cards.
Read process sheet and determine alloy addition.
