Green Acres is looking for a motivated person to manage operations and production. This person must be detail oriented and knowledgeable to ensure the quality of work expected, and willing to constantly look for ways to develop and improve processes to scale in this position. Preparing for what is both expected and unexpected, as well as a fast and critical thinking person, will be key to fully owning this position. Being able to prepare, schedule, and execute enhancement and construction services within the landscape industry, as well as being able to accurately translate production in a way to maximize output will provide for a rewarding position within this organization. QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 yrs with Aspire or similar industry business management software is preferred
- Proven experience in leadership and management in the landscape industry.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment within a growing company and maintain a sense of urgency for all responsibilities relative to the position.
- Investigative personality, with a desire to expand his/her knowledge and role within the company and look forward to the challenges that come with this growth.
- Self-motivated, results driven, and ability to coach Field Mangers on how to work smart with a focus on quality.
- Excellent working knowledge of landscape and snow removal processes, specifically in Commercial and HOA accounts.
- Ability to operate all equipment pertinent to commercial landscaping, construction, and snow removal; including the training and evaluation of personnel to use equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills; Able to demonstrate as well as identify and develop in others.
- Ability to establish productivity benchmarks and motivate employees to achieve goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position will report directly to the Vice President of Operations.
- Support and communicate company vision, policies, and procedures to all field employees.
- Participate in hiring and successful onboarding of new Field Managers and Field Employees, including the ability to manage training with new hires and field crews.
- Lead daily team huddle to brief crews on new / relevant information to be prepared for daily workload.
- Manage both new and existing contracts, ensuring that scope of work is completed to company standards and contract specifications.
- Manage operational issues and quickly implement alternative and creative solutions as needed.
- Conduct regular Field Manager meetings to identify production challenges and strategies to overcome such circumstances. Also, communicate company’s short term and long-term goals and determine areas needing focus to achieve Company goals.
- Participate in regular staff meetings and communicate with Administrators to coordinate operational activities.
- Analyze weekly and monthly reports relative to production, efficiency, future short-term plans and field employees' development.
- Analyze operational efficiencies and provide feedback regarding accuracy of estimating relating to direct costs and production efficiencies.
- Management of vehicle and equipment fleet, including regular inspections to ensure proper maintenance is being performed, and recommend repairs, additions, and disposals.
- Manage multiple crews daily for Enhancements and Construction projects.
- Working with Field Managers to make sure they understand the scope of work expected from contracted services.
- Enforce company policies while maintaining a safe work environment, while promptly documenting all coaching, conversations, counseling, and performance management plans with employees.
- Verify and approve all time & materials allocations from daily work activities to be correct.
- Manage schedule board for multiple maintenance, enhancement, and construction crews daily to ensure jobs are completed on time and within budgeted hours.
- Manage and order materials as needed for inventory and upcoming projects.
- Interact and communicate daily with Clients and Property Managers.
- Conduct Property Audits for clients to ensure work is completed to Company standards and Clients’ expectations and identify areas for potential improvements and enhancements.
- Promptly and creatively resolve Client issues to provide a positive customer experience, uphold the Company’s reputation, and produce a win-win result for all parties.
- Generate proposals for new landscape contracts, snow contracts, construction projects, and Enhancement opportunities identified on properties.
