The Product Receiver Position is responsible for managing and supporting all tasks related to receiving goods, cost control and inventory maintenance.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities::
- Proactively coordinate with General Manager, Receiving Manager, Department Managers and Control to facilitate the receipt of deliveries.
- Prepare property for incoming stock.
- Support offloading of delivery trucks.
- Check and validate POs, Goods Received, invoices, packing slips, or similar related to the documentation, processing or control of inventory.
- Proactively support movement of inventory and communicating information related to price changes, special sales, etc.
- Be knowledgeable about product and its location on the property.
- Move, replace and improve the presentation of inventory.
- Water; deadhead and maintain live inventory.
- General maintenance (sweep, shovel, dust, clean- includes bathrooms).
- Engage and assist customers.
- Accept any assignment on the general floor (any location or department).
- Weekend availability; Flexibility regarding shifts and hours
- Proactively increase knowledge about (all) products, locations and procedures related to inventory management.
- Willing and able to serve in any weather condition, out of door
- Light housekeeping and maintenance
- Flexible as to shift, hours or employment duration
- Able to interact pleasantly and courteously with customers
- Willing to promote sales at any opportunity
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged standing and walking up to 100% of shift
- Bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, stretching, squatting and kneeling – primarily in relation to movement and placement of product and assisting customers with product, as well as with use of pallet jacks for moving product
- Exposure to all types of weather
