We are seeking Green Acres Nursing and Rehab (formerly SagePoint Senior Living), located in La Plata, MD. We are seeking a dedicated part-time Activities Aide to join our team, specializing in memory care and senior services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional care to our residents.
Schedule:
Must be flexible with 12p-8p, 4p-8p, and every other weekend
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Activities Coordinator to plan, organize, and execute a diverse range of recreational activities that cater to residents' interests and preferences.
- Engage with residents on an individual and group level, fostering social interaction, emotional well-being, and a sense of community.
- Set up activity spaces, ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are ready for use.
- Assist residents during activities, providing support, encouragement, and ensuring their safety.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback to inform future activity planning.
- Uphold a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, ensuring all residents feel valued and involved.
- Continuously adapt activities based on resident feedback and changing preferences.
- Support residents during outings and special events as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in organizing and facilitating recreational activities preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic attitude towards working with seniors.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take initiative when necessary.
- Basic organizational and record-keeping abilities.
