Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Dining Room Manager to join our team and oversee front-of-house dining operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service, maintaining dining standards, and managing daily floor operations. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience for club members.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between the front-of-house staff, culinary team, and club members.
- Lead AM and PM pre-shift meetings to communicate daily dining updates, specials, and service standards.
- Ensure all dining areas meet GBCC service, cleanliness, and appearance standards.
- Supervise and support front-of-house operations, including assisting staff when needed.
- Manage member reservations and oversee table assignments to optimize service flow.
- Train, coach, and guide staff to maintain high levels of service and professionalism.
- Collect member feedback, resolve concerns, and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management of front-of-house employees.
- Uphold and enforce uniform and service policies.
- Maintain accurate records, including inventory and POS system updates.
- Assist with banquet operations as needed, including taking on the role of Banquet Lead during peak times.
- Collaborate with the Bar Manager to oversee bar organization, inventory, and cleanliness.
- Open and secure the clubhouse when required.
Qualifications
- Food handling and bartending licenses required.
- Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality management preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations professionally and efficiently.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, including navigating stairs and uneven surfaces.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with exposure to hot and cold kitchen and bar conditions.
- Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
