Job Description:
The Process Engineer position plays a crucial role in optimizing process systems, enhancing safety performance, reducing costs, and increasing production efficiency.
This position provides an accelerated development platform, exposing team members to various manufacturing processes, supplier development experience, customer service/technical service exposure, and a broad overview of career opportunities within Green Bay Packaging.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Participate in statistical data analysis activities and facilitate the establishment of operational best practices.
- Maintain safe working conditions and good housekeeping practices, providing leadership to ensure a safe work environment.
- Identify and complete immediate projects while driving long-term initiatives that support the Mill's strategic vision.
- Develop and deliver operational training materials to enhance team knowledge and skills.
- Stay up-to-date with products, services, and capabilities of Green Bay Packaging, serving as a resource for front-line employees.
Requirements:
- High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently.
- Undergraduate degree in engineering preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a large industrial environment, preferably an integrated paper mill.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels.
- Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to utilize Company resources to minimize process problems and waste.
- Able to serve as a resource that removes barriers and helps front-line employees excel in process improvement and variation reduction.
