What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electro Mechanical Technician position at Green Bay Packaging - Folding Carton Division?
Position Overview The Electro Mechanical Technician will be responsible for maintaining all production equipment, which includes but is not limited to : electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, servo, and PC systems, as well as general building maintenance. Responsibilities
- Performing preventative maintenance
- Troubleshooting breakdowns and performing repairs
- Equipment installation
- Performing the installation of electrical equipment including cable trays, pulling cable and wires, running conduit, installing drives and motors.
- PLC troubleshooting and programming
- Replacement and installation of lighting fixtures and lamps as required.
- General building maintenance
- All other duties as assigned Qualifications
- Good troubleshooting ability, manual dexterity, and ability to read and comprehend schematics and blueprints
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills
- Must be familiar with all AC, DC, low voltage, and 480V, equipment as required
- PLC knowledge – programming and troubleshooting
- Must be able to climb ladders and work with aerial platforms
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to multi-task and work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to work either 2nd (Monday - Friday 2pm - 10pm) or 3rd shift (Sunday - Thursday 10pm-6am) with some overtime / weekend work
