What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sheeter Operator - 10pm - 6am Shift position at Green Bay Packaging - Folding Carton Division?
Position Overview
The Sheeter Operator is responsible for set-up and operation of a Marquip Sheeter.
Responsibilities
- Setting-up for each job on the machine (to include retrieving rolls, feeding rolls, slitting/trimming roles, etc)
• Operating machine at highest efficiency possible • Following work instructions and procedures in place for each job
- Troubleshooting and adjusting the machine as needed
- Ensuring product conformance to specifications
- Maintaining accurate inventory management
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Quality conscious individual
- Good communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to troubleshoot
- Ability to operate clamp truck, forklift and rider pallet jack
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work 3rd shift (Sunday - Thursday 10pm-6am) with some overtime/weekend work (Training will be for 120 days Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm)
- Prior manufacturing experience is a plus, but no experience required
