What are the responsibilities and job description for the Journeyman Mechanic position at Green Bay Packaging - Green Bay Shipping Container?
Journeyman Mechanics will :
- Be responsible for repairing, installing, and troubleshooting production equipment in a corrugated production / converting plant in an efficient, high quality, and safe manner.
- Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work requirements.
- Install, align, take apart and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions.
- Work on a rotating shift schedule between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.
Qualifications for Journeyman Mechanic
A technical associates degree or Journeyman certificate in an relevant field is preferred or equivalent experience. General knowledge of gear drives, conveyors, pneumatics and hydraulic systems is required for this Journeyman Mechanic role.
Compensation & Benefits
As a Journeyman Mechanic, you'll make $36.23 per hour on day one and have access to our two health and wellness clinics. Services are completely free for all employees and their dependents!
