What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Administrator II position at Green Belt Bank & Trust?
Scope:
The Ag/Commercial Loan Administrator II is directly responsible for the daily administration of all Ag/Commercial loans and related bank accounts as well as various credit administration duty assistance.
Accountabilities:
The Loan Administrator will:
- Prepare loan documentation for Ag and Commercial loans.
- Coordinate implementation/booking of all new loans including funding and changes to existing loans.
- Review loan documents, funding sheets and loan committee approvals prior to funding.
- Be responsible for processing and review of all Agricultural Loans/Participations and Farm Real Estate Loans as well as Commercial Loans and Commercial Real Estate Loans.
- Act as the customer's primary contact for all loan processing including loan funding, collateral management, file maintenance, and problem resolution with regards to payments.
- Manage participations sold including all steps necessary for putting new loans on the system.
- Communicate with participating banks to ensure accurate transactions.
- Ensure loan risks are communicated to the CCO and CLO.
- Check all loans and extensions daily.
- Balance the G/L for loans and check for exceptions for each branch daily
- Change and update rates in the system and update ARC rates.
- Receive and process customer requests for advances, AFT, wire and sweeps.
- Initiate appropriate funding actions to fund the loan closing/acquisition per the note and loan officer instructions.
- Perform general maintenance of accounts including data input, related report ordering and review, preparation of appropriate forms, and the loan signing with the customers if a loan officer is unavailable.
- Contact parties outside the bank, i.e.: abstractors, county officials, insurance agents, attorneys, etc. acting as a liaison for the bank.
- Aid with scanning and saving documentation to Synergy.
- Assemble information for the CLO, CCO, and Head of Ag Lending as requested.
- Assemble and prepare information for the Ag/Commercial loan meeting on a weekly basis. Keep track of all proxy’s and proxy votes daily. Attend weekly Ag/Loan committee.
- Aide branches with questions.
- Aide in clearing missing loan documents as assigned.
- Track and report all CRA activity in coordination with Compliance Officer.
- Back up Credit Administrator on daily loan file maintenance.
- Act as back up for daily loan review.
- Assist in maintaining document tracking for all missing loan documentation.
- Assist in file review.
- Work with Credit Administrator to implement a process for updating insurance policies for loan customers and participations.
- Monitor new insurance policies.
- Participate in community activities as needed and any other activities that may arise.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma; AA degree
- Additional bank specific schooling recommended.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of banking experience preferred.
