Overview

The Business Applications Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation, upgrade, and maintenance of business application projects across an organization. This individual ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while aligning with the company’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
• Project Management: Lead end-to-end project management of business applications (ERP, CRM, HRIS, etc.), ensuring timely completion of project milestones.• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal departments, including IT, Finance, HR, Sales, and Operations, to understand business requirements and ensure application solutions meet organizational needs.• Vendor Management: Work with third-party vendors to assess tools, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships throughout project lifecycles.• Budget Management: Develop project budgets, track spending, and ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented.• Change Management: Drive user adoption through proper training, communication, and ongoing support, minimizing disruption to daily operations.• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation plans, and handle escalations as they arise.• Reporting and Documentation: Regularly update stakeholders on project progress and maintain detailed documentation of project deliverables and timelines.
Authority/Budget/Decision Making/Discretion and Independent Judgment Ability:• This individual ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while aligning with the company’s strategic objectives.
Location: Must be based in Plano, Texas. Hybrid schedule available. Limited Travel.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or related field.
Experience:• Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is a plus.• 5 years of experience in project management, particularly in managing the implementation of business applications.• Familiarity with business software platforms like SAP, Salesforce, Constellation, Data Cloud and Report Builder• Project Management Expertise: Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).• Technical Understanding: Proficiency in business applications like ERP, CRM, HR systems, etc., and experience with cloud-based and on-premises software.• Leadership & Communication: Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams and communicate with all levels of the organization.• Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess business processes and recommend technological solutions.• Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.• Problem-Solving: Adept at troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise during implementation.
