Nature's Nursery is hiring for the summer!
Our Preschool program starts at age 3 and meets New York State academic curriculum standards along with creative and enriching activities such as arts & crafts, community service projects and nature study. Bridge and Kindergarten programs provide full academic preparation and social-emotional development, in accordance with New York State academic curriculum standards, for children entering the school system. School-Age Care features age-appropriate recreation activities, homework help, and group projects to engage young minds. Includes before and after school programs, as well as school holidays, vacations and weather-related closures.
The Teacher Assistant – Nature’s Nursery is responsible for active participation and planning of activities for the children in our care. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: following the direction of the group leaders in planning, preparing and implementing activities for all or part of the group. Actively participate with the children in all activities including farm, wildlife, swimming, horse barn and other areas of the Green Chimneys campus. Actively participate and supervise the children at all times, demonstrate the ability to make good decisions in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures and those of OCFS. Assist the director and other staff members to maintain proper coverage, working overtime if necessary.
The rate of pay for this seasonal role is $15.50 per hour and is not benefit eligible.
