Job Summary: The EVS Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cleaning teams within hospital settings, ensuring all areas meet our stringent standards for cleanliness and compliance. This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive leader with extensive experience in hospital cleaning and a strong understanding of the unique needs of healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the cleaning staff, ensuring all hospital areas are cleaned and sanitized according to industry standards and hospital protocols.
• Train and mentor staff on best practices in hospital cleaning and sanitation, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage scheduling to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times and to cover all required shifts and areas.
• Handle the scheduling of staff, including adjustments to cover call-offs, ensuring uninterrupted service.
• Act as a backup cleaner, filling in as needed to maintain operational standards when staff members are absent.
• Address and resolve any issues related to staff performance or client concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with hospital administration and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and operational condition.
• Ensure all staff are up-to-date with necessary certifications, including the Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician (CSCT) certification.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an EVS Supervisor or similar role in a hospital setting.
• Bilingual proficiency is strongly preferred to effectively manage a diverse team.
• In-depth knowledge of cleaning procedures and infection control in healthcare environments.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Must possess or be able to obtain the Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician (CSCT) certification within 90 days of employment.
• Flexibility to fill in for absent staff as needed, ensuring consistent service delivery.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Further certification in hospital cleaning and sanitation is a plus.
