Job Summary
The Cashier will ensure that customers, donors, and volunteers have an enjoyable experience at the Store. The Cashier is an ambassador for Green Country Habitat for Humanity and is often making a first impression of the organization to donors and customers, therefore a positive attitude is a must.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provides quality service by assisting store customers and answering questions and providing a positive retail experience with prompt and courteous service.
- Handles cash and operates POS system.
- Follows policy for pricing for all items before displaying them on the retail floor. Follows pricing structure where applicable; research prices for unusual items by contacting appropriate retail operations in local area and utilizing internet resources for research.
- Processes donated inventory quickly and efficiently.
- Maintains store and facility; clean shelves, bathrooms, and retail displays as well as restock merchandise as needed.
- Provides support to Store management and other duties as assigned.
- Ensures Store policies and procedures are closely followed in the Store.
- Acts as an ambassador for Green Country Habitat for Humanity and the Store.
Additional Responsibilies
- Loads items in a safe and courteous fashion.
- Assists in unloading truck following dock guidelines.
- Operates various power tools.
