Summary/Objective
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform tasks in relation to facility, fleet, and homeowner property maintenance. This position also ensures that the Green Country Habitat for Humanity physical business environment and homeowner properties are safe and secure from operational risk. This is a Safety Sensative position.

Essential Functions
- Maintain a safe working environment by cleaning and disposing of old materials.
- Adheres to OSHA guidelines and safety requirements.
- Ensure the safety of the building and work with the Safety Committee to update any infractions.
- Monitor and perform repair orders and complete requested repairs at all facilities.
- Perform required preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections.
- Perform regular maintenance on buildings, equipment, HVAC systems and general building maintenance.
- Perform ground maintenance duties as needed at all facilities and homeowner property.
- Perform outdoor seasonal maintenance activities including snow removal from walkways, roofs and/or parking lots, and lawn, tree, shrub and flower bed maintenance at all facilities and homeowner properties.
- Maintain fleet vehicles by ensuring the proper scheduling of truck maintenance and repairs; along with compliance of all GCHFH programs, including preventative maintenance and inspection of vehicles, non-scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting, repair, rebuild and overhaul of vehicles.
- Perform minor electrical and plumbing maintenance to include, but not limited to replacement or repair of fixtures using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.
- Work with employees and volunteers to ensure that equipment and facilities are being maintained and used safely and appropriately.
Additional Responsibilities
- Drives a van or box truck and pulls trailers.
- Loads items at the work site in a safe and courteous fashion.
- Assists in unloading truck following dock guidelines.
- Operates powerlift equipment and various power tools.
