Job Description:
">We are seeking a skilled driver to join our team as a full-time LTE driver at the Green County Landfill. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for operating semi-trucks, loading and transporting solid waste, and assisting with maintenance and repair of equipment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, physical stamina, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
">Responsibilities:
">- Operate semi-truck, including loading and transportation of solid waste
- Maintain or assist in the maintenance of the semi-truck
- Assist with maintenance and repair of landfill equipment
- Ensure maintenance records are up-to-date
- Assist patrons with refuge disposal as needed
- Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the landfill buildings and grounds
Qualifications:
">To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years of related experience or training operating heavy equipment. A valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with tanker endorsement is preferred. Additionally, you must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
