Full-time female Jail Deputy position. Starting pay is $25.00 hourly, maximum pay of $33.25, with shift differential for night shift. Position has Wisconsin Retirement Fund, and County benefits. Uniforms and gear are provided. Opportunities to serve on Honor Guard, Jail Training Officer, and WI DOJ Certified Instructor. Incentive pay for physical readiness, JTO, and DOJ Instructor.Experienced applicants may qualify for our Lateral Entry Program. Top lateral pay for 2025 is $28.69/hour.The Jail Division works 12 hour shifts with every other weekend off (Friday-Saturday-Sunday or Saturday-Sunday-Monday).
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Duties include maintaining safety, security and discipline in the jail, intervening to stop disturbances, conducting searches and inspections, surveillance of all inmates, taking custody of and releasing inmates, and preparing reports and other paperwork. Weekends, holidays and rotating shifts are required.
