Duties

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling of various breeds of dogs and cats.
• Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may require veterinary attention.
• Handle and restrain animals safely during grooming procedures to ensure their comfort and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including tools and equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs, pet behavior, and care tips.
• Keep accurate records of services performed on each pet, including any special instructions or notes from pet owners.
• Assist in the care of animals in the kennel area as needed, ensuring that all pets are fed, exercised, and monitored for health issues.

Skills

• Professionally certified and willing to continue educational growth.
• Proficient in dog handling techniques to ensure safe interactions with various breeds.
• Strong communication skills to understand and address grooming expectations with pet owners effectively.
• Knowledge of basic dog training principles is a plus to assist in managing pet behavior during grooming sessions.
• Familiarity with animal restraint methods to ensure safety for both pets and groomers during procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in grooming tasks.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
