OPPORTUNITY
The McKinney-Vento & Foster Youth Program Case Manager will provide support to a designated caseload of schools by ensuring students and their families/guardians are linked to appropriate school and community services to address barriers to learning. The McKinney-Vento & Foster Youth Program Case Manager will maintain a caseload of students who are experiencing homelessness and youth in foster care (including those formerly supervised by the juvenile court). The core function of the program is to assess the needs of and coordinate services and referrals for students to remove barriers to learning and ensure their academic success. McKinney-Vento & Foster Youth Program Case Managers will provide ongoing support to youth experiencing homelessness and youth in foster care. Case Managers meet with their student caseload regularly, manage communication with families and school stakeholders, and liaise with community agencies.

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
We are looking to fill 1 Central Office position which will report to school sites daily and require travel across designated schools. The McKinney-Vento & Foster Youth Program Case Manager works 210 days per year.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
> Support with the identification, immediate enrollment, and service coordination for youth experiencing homelessness and youth in foster care (including former juvenile court students) in accordance with state and federal laws, specifically, AB 490 and the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assi High-quality instruction is at the heart of every Green Dot California school.
