What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Recycling Event Help position at Green Earth Electronics Recycling?
Overview
We are seeking 2-3 energetic and reliable individuals to join our team as a part-time recycling event team member. In this role, you will assist in the successful execution of recycling events, ensuring that materials are unloaded from vehicles, collected, sorted, and stacked efficiently. This position is ideal for those who are passionate about sustainability and want to make a positive impact on the environment while working in a dynamic team setting.
This position will be very active and will require you to be on your feet continuously. There will be lifting of electronics and TVs.
The events are scattered throughout the spring, summer and fall. Some are on weekday afternoons, some are on Saturday mornings. They're typically around a 6-8 hour commitment. We have about 15-20 events/year.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of recycling event
- Greet community members with a positive and inviting attitude
- Unload cars during the recycling event
- Maintain organized work areas and equipment throughout the event
- Sort through materials as necessary to ensure proper sorting and recycling practices
- Perform heavy lifting of recyclable materials, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury
- Wrap pallets for shipping
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and effective communication during events
