Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Banquet Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in menu planning and a strong background in casual dining and catering. As a Banquet Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing high-quality dishes for various events, ensuring that all meals are presented beautifully and meet our guests' expectations. Your expertise in kitchen management and inventory control will contribute to the overall success of our banquet services.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for banquets, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to plan menus that cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences.
- Manage shift operations effectively, ensuring timely preparation and service of meals.
- Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff on best practices for food preparation and safety protocols.
- Work closely with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary requests from guests.
Experience
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or fast-paced dining environment, preferably with a banquet or catering experience.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, menu planning, and kitchen management practices.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
- Familiarity with inventory control processes is preferred.
