Job Title : Field Service Engineer Equipment

Location : United States (Southern Region)

Wage : $80,000 - $120,000 / Year salary, plus benefits, company vehicle, and bonus structure. Salary, bonus, and benefits commensurate with experience.

Education Required : Associate degree or higher from a technical or military school or equivalent.

Experience Required :

At least 2 years of experience as a mechanical field service provider with excellent customer service skills.
Wood Products Industry experience is beneficial.

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in the Southern Region of the U.S. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality installation, preventive maintenance, and emergency services to customers in the wood products industry. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations. Extensive travel is required, along with the occasional need for evening, weekend, and holiday work.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform high-quality installations, preventive, and emergency maintenance services for customers in the wood products industry.

Conduct on-site mechanical troubleshooting to identify and resolve equipment issues.

Provide parts sales and service recommendations based on customer needs.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by regularly visiting and identifying needs, quoting parts, and recommending system improvements.

Maintain accurate service records, including reports, logs, and documentation of installation and maintenance calls.

Coordinate and manage parts and service needs by analyzing system requirements and gathering necessary components.

Investigate and resolve customer complaints and issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.

Plan and execute a weekly schedule of service visits and installations.

Manage service issues and maintain a high standard of customer service in a field-based environment with up to 70% travel, including some overseas work.

Occasionally work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Requirements :

Associate degree or higher in a technical field, military school, or equivalent.

At least 2 years of experience in a mechanical field service role with exceptional customer service skills.

Experience in the wood products industry is beneficial but not required.

Strong mechanical troubleshooting aptitude and the ability to resolve complex equipment issues.

Must be able to analyze information, make informed decisions, and communicate effectively with customers.

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.

Ability to write reports, maintain confidentiality, and focus on quality service.

Willingness to travel 50-70% of the time.

Valid US passport and a clean drivers license required.

Willingness to sign a non-compete agreement (may be negotiable depending on experience).

Legal US resident (no visa sponsorship offered).

Additional Responsibilities :

Collaborate with customers to assess and meet their equipment and parts needs.

Provide clear and concise feedback on service performance and operational issues.

Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, product advancements, and service practices.
