Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering medications to patients under the direction of a nurse or healthcare provider.
Duties:
- Administer medications to patients as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and document patient responses to medication
- Assist in maintaining accurate medical documentation
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient care
- Provide support in acute care, senior care, memory care, and dementia care settings
- Ensure compliance with medication protocols and safety standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Medication Technician or related role preferred
- Anatomy and physiology knowledge essential
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices
- Ability to work effectively in hospital, senior care, memory care, and home community care environments
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication administration
- Certification as a Medication Technician or similar qualification is a plus
