Duties
- Measure and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist in the preparation of patients for examinations and procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient information.
- Support nursing staff in delivering care to residents in nursing homes or community care settings.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist in patient assessments.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding care plans.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols within the medical office or facility.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Medical Technician or similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Familiarity with nursing home environments or home community care systems is advantageous.
- Ability to manage medical records efficiently and accurately.
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Certification or relevant training in a medical field is a plus but not mandatory.
