This position is an Operations Manager with Green Lawn Fertilizing. Responsibilities includes, but are not limited to, all aspects of the lawn care business which include service goals, customer service, producing revenue across all service lines, quality assurance, safety awareness and compliance along with P&L responsibilities.
Essential Functions
- Service customers within all service lines within the lawn business. i.e. all lawn service lines, tree and shrub services, mosquito applications, aerations and seeding, etc.
- Respond to elevated customer concerns and reviews
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training throughout the season
- Control inventory process to the required margins
- Sell additional services based on specific customer needs throughout the season.
- Assist with scheduling of work as needed.
- Keep equipment, vehicles and building clean at all times.
- Maintain service calls to the required 48-72 hours as outlined in the Production Manual.
- When needed visit other locations within GLF/GPS and assist with training, production, customer complaints etc.
- Communicate on a weekly basis with the General Manager and/or V.P. of Lawn on any service- related issues with technicians and/or customers.
- Provide a professional image at all times with every customer and employee.
- Must wear company provided uniform at all times, or dress pants, dress shirt & tie.
- Must check and attempt to resolve all call logs daily.
- Weekly maintenance and thorough cleaning of all equipment, vehicles, and building.
- Ensure that Service Managers are conducting an efficient check-in process at the end of each workday.
- Open branch each day and assist in getting lawn technicians on the road each morning.
- Ability to understand and operate a $1.5 Million P&L
- Lead a team of 10 technicians and 1 admin. position.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: A qualified Operations Manager should have a minimum of 1 to 3 years of service delivery experience, preferably within the lawn service industry.
Skill: General office computer skills will be needed (i.e. Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word).
Must have and maintain a clean driving record, must be able to pass DOT Physical and maintain Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
