Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Payroll Operations Management
- Lead and inspire the payroll operations team to achieve unparalleled accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all payroll processes.
- Design and implement innovative payroll workflows to minimize errors, enhance efficiency, and reduce manual effort.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with evolving federal, state, and local payroll regulations, serving as a key subject matter expert
- Collaborate closely with the Tax Department to ensure seamless integration and alignment between UKG and MasterTax systems, maintaining compliance and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the collection of client funds, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and address issues related to non-sufficient funds (NSFs) to maintain financial integrity and operational continuity.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to manage priorities and respond to changes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on operational excellence and client satisfaction.
Customer Success Leadership
- Drive customer success initiatives by overseeing a team dedicated to delivering world-class client support and satisfaction.
- Develop tailored customer success plans to promote retention, customer loyalty, and long-term partnerships.
- Foster a client-focused culture by proactively identifying and resolving complex customer challenges, ensuring exceptional experiences.
Strategic Initiatives and Team Development
- Establish a collaborative team culture by providing mentorship, professional development, and opportunities for growth.
- Leverage data analytics to monitor and evaluate team performance, setting measurable goals and optimizing strategies to align with organizational objectives.
- Partner with sales and other leadership teams to create seamless client onboarding and retention processes.
Budget and Resource Management
- Oversee departmental budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility while prioritizing investments in tools, technologies, and resources that drive operational excellence.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed process improvements and technological upgrades
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- 8 years of progressive experience in payroll operations, customer success, or related leadership roles, with a proven track record of leading teams, optimizing processes, and driving customer success and loyalty
- Advanced knowledge of payroll compliance regulations, systems, and emerging technologies.
- Exceptional ability to analyze and translate data into actionable strategies that improve performance and customer outcomes.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred experience with UKG Ready and MasterTax systems
