Position Summary
The Implementation Lead plays a key role in ensuring the successful onboarding of clients onto the Green Leaf Payroll and Business Solutions platform. While not a supervisory position, this role sets the standard in client communication and oversees escalations for implementation reviews of projects and tasks. The Implementation Lead is responsible for managing larger or more complex client onboarding projects, providing direct client support, and ensuring consistent application of best practices. This role also focuses on delivering exceptional customer service and training clients to successfully use timekeeping and payroll systems. Collaboration with the Implementation Manager and other departments is essential to maintain a high-quality client experience and ensure seamless transitions. This position operates in a fast-paced business environment with deadlines and requires effective time and project management skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lead client communications to gather necessary documentation for setup, such as Employer Identification Numbers (EIN), historical pay data, and other sensitive payroll information.
- Responsible for importing and onboarding business framework along with prior payroll information for establishing company within our systems.
- Coordinate and execute the onboarding of large or complex client accounts, ensuring alignment with established processes and timelines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated issues during the implementation process and collaborate with internal teams to resolve them.
- Audit client data for accuracy and completeness during system integration.
- Maintain and uphold implementation standards by providing feedback and recommendations for process improvement.
- Assist in the development and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials in collaboration with the Implementation Manager.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other team members on best practices in client communication and task execution.
- Monitor progress and provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders on project status.
- Train clients on the effective use of timekeeping and payroll systems to ensure their long-term success.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly addressing client questions, concerns, and feedback during the implementation process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in Payroll Implementation, specifically within Kronos/UKG Ready highly preferred.
- Exceptional organizational, communication (both oral and written), and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong computer aptitude, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills for data review.
- Proven ability in customer service and issue resolution.
