Green Light Distribution is a proven leader in National Brand Spirits distribution. We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will operate in a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to be part of Green Light’s growth, while further developing your accounting skills.
Professional Summary :
The Staff Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager and aids the organization by accurately completing accounting and financial tasks. The Staff Accountant will perform a variety of accounting duties that are critical to the completion of the financial information that tracks assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other related financial activities. Additionally, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
Responsibilities :
- Provide support to the accounting department and other departments within the organization
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records and other finance reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conforming to reporting and procedural standards
- Posting transactions for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billback deposits
- Demonstrate strong financial acumen and understanding of accounting principles
- Record and reconcile freight payments
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions
