Green Light New Orleans, a small but impactful nonprofit that has been a leader in community-based programs that foster environmental sustainability, is seeking candidates for the position of Executive Director. The position will oversee the operation, guide staff and ensure the funding of the organization. GLNO Supports diversity, equity and inclusion in all areas of operation. Salary range: $73K-$85K
Key duties
· Hires staff as needed
· Works closely with the program director on program management and supervision and training of all staff members
· Leads regular staff meetings
· Identifies new grants and donors and maintains ongoing relationships
· Writes grants on a consistent basis
· Maintains financial reporting including cash flows, income statements, balance statements, state and federal tax documents, audits and compliance
· Creates annual budgets
· Works in partnership with the Board, sending detailed reports to the board on a monthly basis, with as-needed reports of incidents and concerns
• Collaborates with the board in creating new programs.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
· Proven experience in team leadership/organizational management, preferably in non-profit or environmental sectors.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to lead multiple, concurrent projects.
• Experience in grant writing, reporting, and compliance management.
• Financial management experience, including budgeting, cost tracking, and cash flow management.
• Knowledge of data management systems (ie. FilemakerPro, Quick Books) and enjoys the process of data collection and evaluation.
• Experience in environmental sustainability, climate justice, or community-based programs.
• Knowledge of water management issues in New Orleans
Salary : $73,000 - $85,000
