SUMMARY
Reporting to the Regional Manager, this position is responsible for providing GMI-approved Phase training to new hires and refresher training to current team members for both Metals (MD) and non-metals (NMD) at GMI-MTMUS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports the company business, operational, financial and environmental objectives.
- Responsible for managing and auditing training and safety documentation.
- Conduct safety audits of team members.
- Participates in the definition, implementation and monitoring of safety guidelines.
- Assist Group Leaders, Managers, and Safety with accident and incident investigations and reporting.
- Assures continuous improvement on safety and training
- Assist in coordinating cross-training schedules
- Recommends measures to improve methods and equipment performance.
- Trainer must be able to operate all standard equipment and processes.
- Assures regulatory compliance
- Occasionally be required to operate a forklift or tugger.
- Other duties may be assigned

EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED
- High School Diploma/GED and 1-3 years experience in a production environment
- Equipment operation, forklift and tugger preferred
- Attention to detail
- Problem Solving
- Computer skills, Microsoft Excel preferred
SHIFT TIME
1st shift: 7am-3:45pm
May be required to work 2nd shift 7pm-3:45am up to 20% of the time due to training needs
PAY RANGE: $21.50-22.00/hr
