Job Summary
- A full-time Energy Sales Trainer for Green Mountain Energy is responsible for training face-to-face sales agents to promote and sell products.
- Sales Trainers will work in various settings including events, partnerships, and retail locations.
- Sales Trainers will directly promote products to customers.
- Create comprehensive training materials and conduct sessions for new and existing sales staff.
- Evaluate the skills and knowledge of the sales team to identify areas for improvement.
- Offer continuous guidance and support to sales staff to help them achieve targets.
- Plan and organize training sessions to ensure they fit within the sales team's workflow.
- Design and update training manuals, online resources, and other educational materials.
- Conduct practical exercises to help sales staff practice and improve their selling techniques.
- Maintain records of training activities and provide regular reports on the progress and outcomes of training initiatives.
- Present, promote and sell products/services to potential customers.
- Establish a positive rapport and relationship with potential customers.
- Manage and follow scheduling requirements.
- Follow training standards for interacting and enrolling customers.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Abide by site rules and regulations, including all company safety rules/regulations.
- In some instances, setup/teardown point-of-sale kiosks.
- Participate in company meetings and workshops.
- May be expected to provide sales mentorship and support to new employees.
- Flexible schedule; may work evenings, weekends, or holidays
- Some overtime required as special projects arise
- Travel 60% or as needed based on selling location
- Working onsite at assigned location(s) or event(s) both indoors and outdoors
- Must have reliable transportation
- This position is full-time and may be eligible for commission, incentives, 401k, and health benefits
- Must be over 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have at least (2) year sales experience in energy or related industry
- Available to work evenings and/or weekends
- Available at least three to five days per week
- Access to reliable transportation

- SCHEDULING: is flexible, full-time, and coordinated week by week
- Availability 40 hours per week
- Minimum requirement: 1 weekend day availability (Friday-Sunday)
