The Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity (GMHFH) ReStore in Swanton is seeking a Donations Truck Driver to support its mission of helping local families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.
Department : Swanton ReStore and on the truck, in-person
FLSA Status : Full Time Hourly, Non-Exempt
Schedule : Part Time (according to store needs)
Reports To : Procurement Manager
Supervises : none
Summary :
The Donations Truck Driver is responsible for picking up donated items throughout Northwest Vermont using a box truck. This includes following a schedule, communicating with donors, and using safe practices to move donations. The driver must be able to assess conditions of donations, quickly adapt to changes in the pickup schedule, and effectively communicate GMHFH’s mission to donors.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Follow the schedule set by the dispatcher to pick up donations across Northwest Vermont. Communicate with the dispatcher to implement any changes to the pickup schedule.
- Greet customers and assess the condition of donations that are scheduled to be picked up. Approve or deny donations based on if they are in good, sellable condition.
- Impart GMHFH’s mission on donors and provide proper documentation for their donations.
- Provide directions to the Driver Associate or volunteers and answer any questions.
- Strictly follow set procedures relating to safe vehicle operation, proper loading practices, and accident reporting.
- Assist in keeping trucks well maintained and clean, including transporting to service centers, and performing minor repairs as needed.

Compensation & Benefits :
The pay range for this full-time, in-person position is currently $17, hourly. Benefits include a 20% staff discount to all ReStores.
