Part Time Middle/High School Math Teacher

Green Mountain Union Middle/High School will have an opening in the 2025-2026 School Year for a Math Teacher. We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and dedicated professional. The successful individual will have the ability to help each student develop competence in basic mathematical skills and an understanding of the structure of mathematics; to motivate each student to apply mathematical understanding and skills in the solution of practical problems; to encourage students to develop their special talents in the field of mathematics. The individual, as well as teaching a class, will offer intervention support to students on a regular basis

• Deep knowledge and understanding of proficiency based teaching and learning
• Demonstrated knowledge of classroom management and instructional skills
• The use of differentiated instruction to support all students
• The use of formative assessment to provide student feedback and to adjust lesson delivery
• The use of technology to transform teaching and learning
• The use of the trauma informed practices approach to establish a safe and caring classroom community
• Dedication to providing a safe and respectful learning environment for students
• Excellent teaching, organizational, planning, written and oral communication, and collaboration skills
• Commitment to the success of all students, and ability to understand and teach to the various needs of our students
• The abiity to effectively engage students
• Commitment to continuous improvement in the areas of knowledge and professional practice

Qualified candidates must hold or be eligible to hold a valid VT Educator License with a Math Endorsement for (7-12)
