Retail Associate

We are seeking a Retail Associate to join our team. As a Retail Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and assisting customers with their gardening needs. Job Duties:

• Assist customers in selecting plants, flowers, gardening supplies, outfits and gifts
• Provide guidance on plant care, landscaping, lawn maintenance and boutique trends
• Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the garden center and boutique
• Water plants and ensure they are properly cared for
• Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels, reset tables / racks
• Assist with pricing, labeling of products and inventory
• Answer customer inquiries and provide product recommendations
• Collaborate with team members to achieve goals

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a garden center or retail environment is preferred
• Knowledge of garden care, landscaping, lawn maintenance techniques and styling trends with an eye for detail
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Proficient in basic retail math and cash handling procedures
• Excellent communication skills in English, fluency in Spanish is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Physical stamina to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability for weekends and evening hours, especially in our busy season
