Brief Description :
The Plant Manager must oversee the production team with performing diversified duties during vehicle production according to safety. In this position the Plant Manager will be responsible for the technical acumen and ability to provide results under a predetermined timeline. An ideal candidate is a team-orientated self-starter who is knowledgeable in mechanical functions in a production atmosphere. This position requires critical thinking, implementation skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast pace environment.
Requirements
- Identify, analyze, and develop solution to production process.
- Oversee duties to install, build, and maintain multiple components of vehicles.
- Read and support content within all service manuals to perform required production functions.
- Supervise regular preventive maintenance on equipment and plant facilities.
- Collaboratively work with supporting members of the engineering team.
- Document production progress and communicate with upper management.
- Develop and maintain standardized manufacturing instructions used in production.
- Develop training programs for production team to educate and improve processes.
- Manage, motivate, support production team by providing guidance to production staff.
- Communicating regularly with leadership regarding problems or issues impacting production.
- Evaluate production resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
- Establish a balance between increased productivity and reduce costs of manufacturing operations.
- Set productivity goals for department and a breakdown for individual teams.
- Develop workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
- Ensure adequate staffing and efficient scheduling.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Meet requirements of the state and federal law for automobile repair and consumer protection.
- Develop process improvements within production.
- Position will require more than 40 hour work weeks depending on company needs.
