We are currently seeking a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position is responsible for managing financial records and transactions and will work closely with the President to ensure that financial statements are accurate and up-to-date.
They will be responsible for a range of tasks, including recording financial transactions, reconciling bank and credit card statements, maintaining general ledgers, cash flow analysis, preparing financial reports, processing payroll and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Must have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and QuickBooks and MS Office software. Should also have strong communication skills to interact with other team members and clients.
This position will provide guidance and support for the President to maintain accurate financial records and ensuring the financial stability, growth and profitably of the company.
Responsibilities
- Recording financial transactions.
- Reconciling accounts.
- Invoicing
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Preparing financial reports: This includes generating regular reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Processing payroll.
- Manage office supplies, inventory and place orders as necessary.
- Receive and sort incoming mail.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Managing client job files.
Experience/Skills Required
- Minimum 3 years prior experience working in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Experience with QuickBooks is required.
- Experience with MS Office required.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Attention to detail and highly organized.
- Strong communication and analytical skills

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
