About Green Project: Green Project is a SaaS-based carbon accounting and ESG data management platform, explicitly designed to support organizations earlier in their sustainability journey engage with, and improve upon, their environmental performance data. Under increasing pressure from regulators, investors, customers and employees, businesses—especially small- and medium-sized businesses—are becoming empowered to calculate and report on their GHG emissions and other key ESG KPIs, however, many lack the resourcing, budget, and expertise to stand up a data-driven ESG program in-house.

Job Overview: We are seeking a passionate contributor with a knack for translating vision into reality, someone who thrives in collaborative environments and possesses a keen eye for user needs. In this tactical role, you'll take the lead in shaping the future of our renewable energy procurement e-commerce platform. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to execute the product roadmap, prioritize features, drive high-quality releases, and keep a well-groomed backlog of stories and prioritized bugs. You'll craft compelling user stories, ensure a seamless user experience, and you'll keep stakeholders informed as you navigate roadblocks with a solutions-oriented approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a development team in executing the product roadmap, ensuring everyone is aligned towards achieving product and business goals.
  • Act as a hub for communication across multiple functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment to break down silos and drive successful product development.
  • Assist the Lead Product Manager with the definition of product features and functionality and translate the product vision into actionable plans for the development team.
  • Express requirements in well written user stories with clear acceptance criteria that prioritize the user experience and deliver value.
  • Continuously refine the backlog based on new information, user feedback, and changing needs, while ensuring it is actionable and prioritized.
  • Proactively communicate progress, decisions, impediments, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality software that meets user needs and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a compelling go-to-market strategy for successful product launches.
  • Lead bug triage and prioritization for your product, prioritizing bugs based on factors like severity, user impact, and alignment with product goals, and keep stakeholders informed about bug fixes, potential workarounds, and estimated resolution timelines.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a dynamic product owner role, with a focus on e-commerce.
  • Well-versed in Agile methodologies and using Scrum tools like Kanban.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the product management lifecycle.
  • Adept at identifying and resolving challenges that arise during the product development process.
  • Experience communicating with marketing teams to develop messaging around new feature launches.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable communicating asynchronously with teams working in different time zones.
  • Experience using and managing Azure DevOps or similar tools to manage development team backlogs.
  • Experience using Figma or similar tools to produce rough product wireframes, storyboards, or user stories.
  • Basic understanding of APIs and their role in software development and familiarity with API testing tools, such as Postman.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in product design, engineering, IT management, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the SAN development stack (SQL, Angular, .NET).
  • Experience with carbon accounting or climate tech.

Salary Range:

$90,000-120,000 base. Actual base pay may vary based on various factors such as location, job-related knowledge, skills, level and experience. The base pay is just one component of the total competitive compensation package for employees.

Remote Work

Green Project embraces remote work, with a team of talented individuals based across the US in Colorado, East Coast states, and several other countries. All US applicants must be based in Colorado or East Coast states. Our largest presence is in NYC, where employees are invited to join occasional in-person working days. However, attendance is never required.
