Job Summary
Green Ride, an official licensed provider of Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Services, is looking for a reliable and dedicated Independent Contractor Driver with their own vehicle to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers between their residencies and various medical facilities, mainly located in and around St. Joseph, MO.
This role requires punctuality, great customer service skills, and a strong commitment to maintaining vehicle safety and cleanliness.
Green Ride provides commercial auto insurance, as well as 100% fuel reimbursement.
Duties
- Safely transport the patients to various medical facilities.
- Maintain the vehicle in good working condition by performing regular inspections and necessary maintenance tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, addressing their needs during transit, and ensuring a comfortable travel experience.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving to ensure the safety of passengers and other road users.
- Assist with heavy lifting when required, such as loading and unloading medical equipment (walkers, oxygen tanks, etc)
- Keep accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Collaborate with dispatchers to receive instructions on routes and schedules.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (Non-CDL); experience in medical transportation is a plus.
- A reliable sedan/van/SUV, no older than 10 years
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 violations in the last 3 years), and criminal record.
- Must be willing to succesfully take a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be able to pass the backgroung check
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with passengers.
- Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work flexible hours as required by the schedule.
- Familiarity with local roads and navigation systems is beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
