Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Programmer to join our team in the dairy industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that meet the needs of our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of various programming languages and methodologies, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. The Programmer will play a crucial role in enhancing our software solutions and ensuring optimal performance.
Duties
- Programming:
- Develop, write, and modify control programs for Fanuc robots and GE PLC systems.
- System Integration:
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to integrate robotic systems into new and existing dairy locations.
- Ensure seamless communication between robots and other machinery through proper configuration and testing.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Identify and resolve issues in robotic performance, conducting regular maintenance to ensure optimal operation.
- Provide technical support to minimize downtime and manage system upgrades as needed.
- Process Optimization:
- Analyze production processes to identify opportunities for automation and enhance efficiency.
- Implement changes based on performance data and feedback from operational staff.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of programming changes, maintenance activities, and system performance metrics.
- Prepare reports to communicate findings and improvement suggestions to management.
- Training and Support:
- Train production staff in the operation and maintenance of robotic systems.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure team members can effectively work with automation technologies.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in robotic programming.
- Proficiency in programming GE PLCs and familiarity with robotic operating systems.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with production processes and equipment.
- Knowledge of industrial automation systems and controls.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to robotic operations in food production
Work Environment: The position will require working in a dairy facility with exposure to typical industrial conditions. Flexibility to work on weekends or irregular hours may be necessary based on production needs.
