The Product Manager is a key role within IJ Global events team focused on the awards portfolio. The key objectives for this role are:
- Accelerate the growth of the Awards businesses
- Manage costs in line with budget
- Work closely with the editors, to develop a trusted, consistent process driving engagement with our markets
- Work with internal stakeholders and our customers to review and evolve the commercial proposition for each awards program/ceremony
- Work closely with marketing to develop marketing plans, promote engagement in submissions, research and sales phases
- Partner with the sales teams to achieve aggressive revenue growth targets through table sales, sponsorship and awards packages
- Work closely with operations to ensure efficient delivery of programmes.
- Review and evolve current awards programmes, categories, strategies and approaches
- To ensure shortlists, winners and all other key deliverables are provided in an accurate and timely manner
- Execute physical and virtual awards presentations and events
- Delivery and fulfilment of customer contracts such as table purchases, marketing collateral, digital and traditional content
- Work with key stakeholders to develop systems and processes for key stakeholders to follow and implement
- Engage with and understand the market to continually assess awards content and categories for commercial viability
Responsibilities
- To work with the Event Director to create and manage budgets and deliver revenue and profit growth
- Work with the and relevant Editors to ensure the awards submission process is streamlined to deliver quality and timely shortlists and winners
- Build and manage the awards and judging portals; being the main point of contact for submitters and judges.
- Directly manage a portfolio of awards programmes
- Support sales teams by developing sales opportunities for customers, implement systems and manage outcomes
- Support ops team to closely manage venue and production costs, delivering high quality customer experiences
- Support marketing to develop marketing plans for each of our awards and a social media strategy
- Manage awards deliverables for each programme including print collateral, script, graphic and screen presentation and supporting editorial content
- Several years experience managing or working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Research teams
- Successfully developing and launching new awards or events
- Coordinating global teams around production deadlines
- Meeting with and presenting to senior professionals in energy and infrastructure
- Ability to be immersed in a collaborative culture where success is shared and celebrated
- Ability to demonstrate discipline with strong time management capacity
- Highly motivated, eager to learn, and coachable, with a great attitude
- Confidence in engaging with senior-level influencers, budget holders, and decision-makers
- Solid understanding of the infrastructure and energy sectors is desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience using Awardsforce desirable
- Authorization to work in the United Kingdom now and in the future, without visa or sponsorship requirements
