The Director of Finance for Green Summit Landscape Management (GSLM) is responsible for accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial operations. The Director of Finance for Green Summit Landscape Management (GSLM) is responsible for accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial operations. This includes preparing and maintaining all general-purpose financial statements as well as internal financial reports. Reports to: VP of Business Operations
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial activities, advising executive leadership on business decisions that impact profitability and financial performance.
- Develop and implement financial planning strategies to support GSLM’s growth goals, including risk/reward analysis for financing and investments, as well as cash flow monitoring and projections.
- Establish and manage a financial risk management program, ensuring compliance with internal controls to minimize financial risks and prevent unnecessary spending.
- Identify and implement cost-saving strategies within finance and other business areas while establishing financial benchmarks with executives to enhance company performance.
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable teams, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to established processes. Conduct weekly one-on-ones with accounting staff to enhance performance and engagement. Oversee vendor payments, invoicing, contract terms, reconciliations, collections, and work-in-progress adjustments.
- Oversee payroll and all related reporting and compliance obligations.
- Prepare and maintain all general-purpose financial statements for external reporting purposes.
- Prepare internal financial statements for company meetings, including monthly profit and loss reports, financial dashboards, and business performance metrics for leadership teams to aid operational decision-making.
- Calculate, file, and manage gross receipts tax payments while compiling financial statements for external accounting firms for annual tax preparation and compliance.
- Manage financials for additional entities owned by GSLM shareholders and assist in preparing and filing year-end tax returns for GSLM and its related entities.
- Reconcile all bank and credit card statements weekly and monthly while ensuring timely collections and communicating past-due accounts to leadership.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
- Certification: CPA license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, budgeting, and financial management. Experience with general ledger reconciliation and financial reporting preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and QuickBooks. Typing speed of at least 65 words per minute.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and communicate effectively.
- Occasionally required to lift or move items up to 35 pounds.
