We are a team of professional educators who strive to give the very best to the children at our school. Our school serves children from the ages of 6 months through Kindergarten. As a part-time assistant teacher at Green Tree Montessori School, you will follow the individual child while they discover the world around them. You may work with our toddler class or our preschool classroom.
We are looking for a motivated and kind person who is ready to join a close team of professional educators. This position will include following the schedules of our individual children, maintaining an organized and clean environment and completing infant care such as diapering and feeding. This position will also include working under a master infant teacher. The teacher assistant works collaboratively with the lead teacher in the classroom to establish a safe and inclusive learning environment where children can freely explore, investigate, and be active and curious learners in the Montessori classroom.

Qualifications
- Experience working with children.
- High School Diploma or higher
- Positive previous employer references
Responsibilities:
- Meeting the individual's needs of the children with care and compassion
- Completing all closing duties for school, such as tidying up classroom
- Following the child and schedules of the infants, including diapering and feeding
- Providing a prepared Montessori environment for infants
- Guiding the children to support movement, language, and independence.
- Interacting affectionately and respectfully with children
- Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures while supervising the children at all times.
- Communicating with peers, children, and parents professionally and warmly
- Participation in staff and training meetings.
- Assistant Teachers assist the Lead Teacher with the above-noted responsibilities.
- Collaborating with the lead teacher to support each individual child
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
