Green Tree Pharmacy is a long term care pharmacy located in Minonk, IL, which currently serves almost 100 long term care facilities. As we continue to expand our services, we are in need of a Purchasing and Inventory Control Technician. This position is responsible for purchasing and maintaining inventory of medications as well as addressing concerns with suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Become familiar with the group purchasing program in place
- Understand contract utilization and rebate process
- Determine which items are to be ordered, and appropriate quantities to order
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure short-dated and outdated stock are minimized
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Illinois Licensed and Certified as a Pharmacy Technician
- Knowledgeable of medication uses, generic brands of drugs, prescriptions, and medical terminology
- Understanding of purchasing processes, group purchasing contracts, rebate processes, and inventory control parameters
- Computer literacy
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be dependable and have reliable attendance
- Must work well in team environment
