Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food Server to join our team at Club 58 at Green Valley Country Club. As an experienced server, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. You'll bring your expertise in customer service, food and beverage knowledge, and a positive attitude to ensure every guest leaves satisfied. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly and courteously, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff efficiently.
- Serve food and drinks to guests in a timely manner, ensuring orders are correct and presented professionally.
- Monitor tables to anticipate guest needs, such as refilling drinks or clearing plates.
- Handle special requests, dietary needs, and complaints with professionalism and care.
- Process payments accurately, including cash, credit cards, and POS systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including resetting tables and assisting with side duties.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a food server in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including familiarity with menu items, wine pairings, and specials (preferred).
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for handling payments.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be at least 18 years old (if serving alcohol, adjust based on local laws).
- Valid food handler's certification (or willingness to obtain one).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry trays, plates, and other items up to 25 pounds.
