Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Technician to join our team. The IT Technician will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting our organization's technology infrastructure, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Key responsibilities include installing and configuring hardware and software, managing network systems, providing technical support to staff, and ensuring data security.
The IT Technician Helpdesk provides essential IT and AV support to ensure the smooth operation of technology and audiovisual systems at Green Valley Recreation (GVR). This role is pivotal in maintaining hardware, facilitating meetings, managing media content, and supporting special events to enhance member and staff experiences across GVR facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues. Effective communication and the ability to work collaboratively with team members are essential for success in this role.
Essential Job Functions
- Technical Support:
- Provide timely and effective technical support to staff for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, both remotely and on-site.
- Hardware and Software Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications.
- Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure systems are secure and up-to-date.
- Network Administration:
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- System Maintenance:
- Conduct routine maintenance and performance tuning of IT systems.
- Ensure data backups and disaster recovery plans are in place and tested regularly.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain security protocols to protect sensitive information.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and company policies.
- User Training and Documentation:
- Provide training to staff on the use of hardware and software.
- Develop and maintain documentation for IT procedures, configurations, and user guides.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and manage procurement of new equipment.
- Track software licenses and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical staff to explain technical issues and solutions

Qualifications
Required Qualifications – Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. (Additional requirements may be designated by position.) |
- High School Diploma or GED.Minimum one-year relevant work experience.
- Must maintain a valid, current driver’s license.
- Must maintain current CPR AED certification.
- CompTIA (A , Cloud , Security ), HDI certification preferred.

- Knowledge of telephone systems, including VOIP systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Must be fluent in the English language.

Salary : $18 - $22
