The Senior Operations Specialist will perform FTZ operations for clients, including imports and exports associated with the zone(s). This role ensures all relevant SOPs are followed, compliance standards are maintained, FTZ processes are optimized, efficiencies and solutions are found, and exceptional customer service is provided to our clients.

HOW you will be sucessful...
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions and support.
- Follow requirements and engage in maintaining updates in the client-specific SOPs.
- Manage dashboards/grids for all clients for which you are accountable.
- Work within FTZ ICRS and Cargowise to manage workload and job tasks.
- Analyze, interpret, and manage data sets to drive decision-making and perform core job functions
- Customs & Foreign Trade Zone operations, which include but are not limited to:

- ICRS maintenance
- CF7512 In-bond filing
- Export Clearance (EEI) filing
- CF3461 & CF7501 Customs declaration filing
- Data validation
- Inventory balancing
- Process development and improvement
- Recordkeeping
- Invoicing
- Security reviews
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including FTZ, tariffs, trade agreements, FTAs, and import/export restrictions.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations.
- Prepare and submit accurate CF3461 Cargo Release, CF7501 Customs Entries, CF7512 Inbonds, CF214 Zone Admissions, and other required declarations.
- Create, maintain, and utilize product databases to ensure compliant submission of HTS and all PGAs on all declarations.
- Proactive communication of questions to accomplish timely and compliant submissions of declarations.
- Records maintenance for client recordkeeping.
Work Environment:
- Office setting with occasional travel to client sites and industry conferences.
WHAT you will bring....
- Customs Brokerage/PGA experience (minimum two years).
- FTZ Administration experience (minimum two years).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
- Experience working with data sets and interpreting data trends and anomalies to support operational needs.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills - this role will be customer-facing.
- Aptitude to learn complex tasks and concepts independently, with support and training.
- Works with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with OneSource (ICRS).
- Experience with Cargowise.
- Certified Zone Specialist (NAFTZ) Designation.
- Certified Customs Specialist (NCBFAA) Designation.
- Licensed Customs Broker
