Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they enter our establishment. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and provide them with menus.
- Manage the seating chart to ensure efficient seating of guests while maintaining a smooth flow of service.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant.
- Assist guests with any inquiries or requests, demonstrating exceptional guest services at all times.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area, including menus and waiting areas.
- Utilize POS systems, such as Aloha POS, for managing reservations and processing guest information accurately.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus; experience with TOAST POS is a plus.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in a busy dining environment while maintaining phone etiquette.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
