Summary:

We are seeking a collaborative and people-focused Safety Coordinator to join our Greenacres team. This role is responsible for fostering a culture of safety, security, and compliance while working alongside employees to create a supportive and informed environment. The Safety Coordinator will conduct safety training, provide guidance on compliance with safety regulations, oversee property security, and collaborate with our Education team to ensure safety protocols for students. Reporting directly to the Human Resources Director, this individual should have a strong understanding of safety regulations, security best practices, and effective communication skills to encourage a positive and proactive safety culture. The ideal candidate will also embrace our values and demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork through changes, concerns, and challenges.

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of workplace injuries and incidents.
  • Assist employees in navigating the workers' compensation process.
  • Implement strategies to reduce workplace injuries and improve workplace safety culture.

Safety and Security Policy Development:

  • Develop, review, and update safety, security, and emergency response policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ensure all policies are effectively communicated and enforced.
  • Stay current on safety, security, and workers' compensation regulations, trends, and best practices.
