The Data Architect will be responsible for designing and managing the data architecture and framework to support innovative data systems. This role requires expert knowledge in database management systems, data modeling, and data storage solutions.
• Develop and implement effective data architecture strategies to ensure optimal data management and utilization across the organization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for data needs and conduct assessments of existing data systems.
• Design and model database solutions that support business operations and analytics initiatives.
• Establish data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and data retention policies.
• Create and maintain metadata, data dictionaries, and technical documentation.
• Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies for data integration, analytics, and visualization.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to data teams on best practices in data architecture.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in data technology and market trends to inform future architecture solutions.
• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Due to agency and contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens with no dual citizenship.
• 10 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or a related field.
• Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and data warehousing solutions.
• Experience with big data technologies & frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
